Returns & Refunds

Last updated 3 September 2026

This is a placeholder policy in plain language while we finalise our full, legally-reviewed terms. It describes how we intend to handle returns and reprints.

The short version

Every book is personalised and made to order just for you, so we can’t offer the standard 14-day change-of-mind return that applies to off-the-shelf goods. If something is wrong with your book, we will reprint it for free.

Why personalised books work differently

Under UK consumer law, goods made to a customer’s specification — like a book built from your own story, photos and choices — are exempt from the standard right to cancel once we’ve started making it. That’s why we ask you to approve your book on screen before you order the printed copy: what you see is what gets printed.

If something’s gone wrong

If your book arrives damaged, misprinted, or with pages missing or out of order, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we’ll reprint and resend it at no cost to you.

If your order simply never arrives, get in touch — see our shipping policy for the expected delivery window — and we’ll investigate and reprint if it’s genuinely lost.

How to claim

Email steve@mycircletime.co.uk with your order number and, if possible, a photo of the problem. We’ll get back to you and arrange a reprint.

Faulty digital orders

Creating your book and reading it on screen is free — there’s nothing to refund there. If you’ve paid for a printed copy and haven’t yet approved the book, contact us before it goes to print and we can still make changes.
